A packed Groby Parish Council emergency Extraordinary General Meeting called to allow residents to discuss a highly controversial planning application to Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council by developer Bloor Homes to build 140 new homes next to the Groby Parish Council cemetery in the protected Green Wedge area of separation between the villages of Groby and Ratby, heard that despite the application (which actually falls into Ratby) not complying with clear planning policies, indications of a predetermined position had been expressed by Council Officers to local residents.
