Is this how HBBC should have gone about finding a 'suitable' transit site?
This is an interesting read from Hastings Borough Council (HBC) website. In a nutshell they were in the same position as HBBC in so much as having to find a 'Transit site' for travellers somewhere within the borough, but they went about it in a totally transparent manner by fully engaging and consulting with the residents, businesses and community group in the vacinity of the considered sites before selecting the final location (see how may they considered too!).
Im not sure about the final outcome of the site chosen, but i really think HBBC should have adopted this open & transparent approach rather than the clandestine one they opted for
